You have to make sure to follow the directions in the Read Me to get it to work properly. This is a great idea and if the directions are followed, Lara kneels down and opens it the way she did with the "suitcases" in the original games. I used it to hide the "Beastiary" in my current level and she it worked perfectly. I love the light effect when she opened the chest.
When I saw this fellow goes in the Baddy2 slot I suppose I expected him to act like a ninja with hair. Not so. I'm glad I had him in a cage when I tested him in my level. He was all over the place, running around his cage and making a lot of noise. I shudder to think what he will do when he gets out of the cage. :lol
I didn't play TR1 so I can't compare this one to the original but the he certainly moves and behaves like a gorilla. A great addition to a jungle level.
This monster scared the crap out of me the first time I played TRC and this one works just was well. The attack and dying animations are very much like the Amets from The Last Revelation. Personally I prefer this werewolf over the amets and find it more versatile as far as placements in environments are concerned.
Good job! :) This is my favorite version of Sophia so far. She gives a sharp appearance all dressed in black and the attack animations work well. She wasn't as difficult to kill as I expected but she still makes a great enemy
Another great job from Miss Croft. This is a particularly useful outfit and it works with all of Lara's animations. It has a nice "dressy casual" look to it so that fits in with a wide assortment of environments. I'm using it for my zoo themed level but I can also see it for basic tomb raiding or a Venice level. :) Certainly worth the download.
I downloaded this dragon a few weeks ago when I was looking for characters for my current ice level and this one seemed like a good final enermy before the end of the level. Last night I placed the dragon in my test room and I'm very impressed with how good he looks in the ice caves. The animations work as well as they did in the original game.
I'm not sure what the purple "locust" objects were supposed to be that the dragon kept spitting at Lara but they do eat away at her health. Place plenty of health packs around this guy.
I loved the orcas in the original game and I still love them. They don't attack Lara and can be amusing to swim with. The orcas don't attack Lara and the animations suggest a playful nature. The only disappointing thing is that they don't swim around in the water and mainly bounce around in one place although as you swim around them they rotate so they are always facing you.
While I don't think I would use them often, they do work for an occasional, amusing diversion.
This is a nice change from the same old crowbar and works very well in castle settings. I'm using this one in a level right now and it it creates and entirely different look when Lara is prying stars off the walls or breaking doors open.
The skin texture is perfect in ice caves. With the right lighting you almost don't see these things coming until they are almost on top of you. A perfect "petty annoyance" for Lara.
I've been using these a lot. They make a great trap and really add to the atmosphere of an ice cave. You notice them but it's also easy to forget they are there while you explore. Several times when testing my level I have ben killed by my own trap. There is a good sound included for when the icecycles fall and hit the snow.
I was browsing to find the main inhabitants for my arctic castle and when I found this I knew I didn't have to look any further. The ice feathers and hooves on Pegasas are a nice creative touch. Female sounds have been included for the fairy, who has a facial expression that shows she means business and does not appreciate intruders in her domain. When she swings her sword at Lara she looks like something out of Norse legend.
Wonderful job on this one.
I'm in the process of building a Castle/Arctic level and needed something to guard the entrance. The white wolf works perfectly. They bark and there is a "slinking" animation that the wolves go into when Lara is up on a platform and they can't get to her. No doubt I will have an occasion to use the black and gray wolves as well.
This fox works perfectly and is a welcome addition to an arctic/winter themed level. They attack Lara and the howling sounds are perfect. I'm thinking of using this one as a "friend" character as those big eyes make the Artic Fox too cute to kill, even when it's snapping at Lara.
