Treasure Chest by cornchild

You have to make sure to follow the directions in the Read Me to get it to work properly. This is a great idea and if the directions are followed, Lara kneels down and opens it the way she did with the "suitcases" in the original games. I used it to hide the "Beastiary" in my current level and she it worked perfectly. I love the light effect when she opened the chest.

It looks great in game. The textures are great. The meshes are great. the useability is jigh because it can be ued in a lot of different style levels. Its high in originality because there are very few if any custom sarcophagus. Textures are detailed. Meshes are nicely shaped. The light effect is really cool. I think I've seen a light effect like that in some other game. Can't remember what game. Might have been Zelda. Congratulaions on a job well done, and I'd like to see more objects like the. :D:D:D Edited by Keith

A wonderful idea for an object somewhat ala 3D Zelda games style, and executed very well too! This replaces the regular suitcases, yet is more suiting for castle, dungeon or more fantasy alike environments, as it would look somewhat odd to find this in a hi-tech laboratory. Maybe the textures could've had more detail, and the light mesh could've been double sided, so you don't see the light from only 1 angle, but otherwise no problems - a great container type to have in a level if required!

As long as you set this up properly, it works perfectly. What a wonderful idea. Lara kneels, opens the chest, and light shines out while she takes the pick up inside. It certainly adds a new dimension to pick ups. I did try to use this in Jungle Ruins, but the levels started crashing because they were so big. Something had to go, and unfortunately, as these chests were not absolutely necessary, I didn't use them in the end. However, I've used them in Sheep in Wolf's Clothing and they help to make the level special. Edited by GeorgeMaciver

Love it, you will find this in the sequel of the sanctuaries. A pity the sound does not work but that can be solved I think with the sounds.txt. The mesh is absolutely great although there are some unnecessary faces. Textures could be flipped better to look smooth on the chest but for the rest this is really a great addition for my game. Thanks!
