Installation

To install, you will need a copy of Leikkuri (available on this page | direct download).
Place leikkuri.exe in the same folder as your tomb4.exe
Open Leikkuri. Click the "Load preset" button and select the "adelon-serial.lps" file.
An error message saying "Can't reload BMP! Using current." will appear. You can ignore this.
Click the "Patch" button and exit the program.
Open either the Bevel or Flat folder (depeneding on which style you would like to use) and copy the Font.pc file inside to your graphics/wads folder. Overwrite the existing Font.pc file.
Lastly, you must compile each level of your game for the new font to appear (title.tr4, etc). If you don't compile a level, the font will appear corrupted in-game.

Extra install steps for select users

If using Tomb Editor, you may need to configure your level to use the new Font.pc file. To do this, open Tomb Editor, choose "Tools" from the top menu, then "Level settings" from the dropdown. Navigate to the "Sky & Font" section, then under "Font texture ('Font.pc' in official editor)" select the button next to "Custom file (has to be 256^2)" Next, click the "Browse" button on the right and select Font.pc from the graphics/wads folder.

If you are using FLEP, you must follow the steps listed here (further discussion on this page) to complete your installation. A copy of the LeikkuriConverter utility is included in this download package.

Optimizing for different screen resolutions

By default, this font is optimized for 16:9 widescreen displays. To change this, you must open Leikkuri, load the preset file, then change the size in the "Resolution" section before patching. For 4:3 displays, I recommend using 1280x960. For widescreen displays (default), I recommend 1280x720.
You may think "I want to optimize for both 4:3 and 16:9 at the same time, how do I do that?" Unfortunately it's impossible to do without some distortion of the text, but for the least amount of stretched/squished text across both 4:3 and 16:9 displays simultaneously, use 1280x840.

Alternatively, you could create two separately patched executables (one optimized for 4:3 and the other 16:9) and allow players to choose which one they will play with. This is a kind of clunky solution, but I can't think of anything better.
