Jade by Trinity

It's really weird that nobody reviewed this outfit so i'll review it. But i have to say Trinity that this is amazing. I already liked Jade before. (Excally i never played that game before). Original: It's very original cauze there is only a camera of Jade added and this is the first Jade outfit ever added on the site. Quality: Your outfits are all good quality, and there are no holes or bugs in this outfit. Useable: Well this deserves a 9 cauze it can't be used in many levels. Maybe in jungle levels home levels or adventure levels. Textures: They where unbelieveble, i don't know where u get them from, but that doesn't care now. I like textures on her head and on her pants. They where all good rotated, and that's important. The textures on her hand was very original. Meshes: Amazing, the head looks really cool, i like the greeny thing on her head and the meshes of her pants where awesome. Very good work Trinity, i'll credit u in my level and i will using the camera too. Joontje

Originality: This is very original, bringing another lead character from another game to the TR format. I have played a bit of the demo of this so I'm familiar with the character. Quality: There is excellent use of custom textures and detailed custom meshes. this contributes to especially nice detail on the hair. I noticed one tiny gap in one of the rear leg meshes, but this is very picky. There is also an added special shotgun weapon - not sure what it is though (maybe if I played a bit more of the game I would know LOL)- a sort of wooden pipe thing, but there are no sounds associated with it and in Lara's animation for this weapon she sort of just pushes this forward when attacking with it. Not sure if this is a custom animation or not so I won't review it as such. Useability: As an action character there are no restrictions on using Jade as the outfit is suitable for pretty nuch any siuation. As with any non Lara model there may be a limited role for this though as many builders prefer to retain 'Lara' in their game but I'm not marking down for this. Suggestions: Just a little picky thing - looking at the real Jade - she appears to have very dark eyes and a slightly oriental look about her, giving her a slightly tougher appearance. In this model the eyes are green and have an almost 'too cute' look. I know a lot of work has gone into this outfit - but these improvements might make the model look even better. Nonetheless an excellent custom characterisation.

originality10: Trinity did a really good job on this outfit. It's our first BGE character here. quality9: there were no bugs, the textures were nice, the meshes had just tiny problems. usability9: This might be also a good casual outfit, not just something for a BGE level, because of it's colour and this outfit has a backpack and boots. textures: nice as always;). Especially her hair and the west looked good.THe stomach texture looked better than in some other outfits, because it shows more detail.The belt had a nice texture, wich showed some detail. I would just made her eyes a bit bigger. meshes9: The meshes are nice and well shaped, like her head, but some like her arms have problems. Her sleeves stick into her arms, I noticed that when I took a closer look with strpix. But else there are no bugs

Yet again Trinity shows of her great textures and meshes, but yet again, missing connetions and double-faces ruin the overall look... Let's take on the outfit! Originality: 10 Jade is a very unique character, and she's quite different from all the other outfits on the SE, so she gets the big 10 for originality! Quality: 7 I know I'm picky, but this is crazy. The meshes and textures look great in Strpix, but screw up in-game... First of all, missing connections. The foot connections are gone, but it's not a problem unless you crawl, which reveals quite a lot of missing polygons underneath the pants. Since crawling is a big part of TR and BGE, this is bad. Second, the torso. All the connections except the waist are connected to it, but it's only really a problem on the left shoulder, where the arm is transparent underneath, creating a hole... Third, the right knee joint is broken. Finally, the hole in the head is not patched up. Next we have the double-faces. They may or may not be real double-faces, maybe they're just too close to the polygons underneath, but there are quite a few in the arms and torso. Last, but not least, there are plenty of normal problems in the legs, torso and arms. You'll have to settle with a 7, that's the highest I can go. Useability: 9 Great for BGE levels, as she looks very much like Jade, however, it requires a lot of custom objects because of the cartoonishness of BGE, so I can only give as high as a 9. Textures: 10 One word: Amazing! They look so much like Jade's real textures, and are applied flawlessly! The hair is a bit weird, but it's really not problem. Small details like Jade's Scanalyzer are there, and the Daï-jo looks very authentic! Excellent piece of work! I'll give you the grand 10! Meshes: 10 Again, they are simply great! All the small details are covered, and the shirt is even 3D! Jade's head looks great, and the pants are excellent! Look at that backpack and Scanalyzer! I'll give you another 10 for the meshes! :D Animations: 5 Well, these are bad. Nothing more. They could be good if it wasn't for the fact that the Daï-jo does no damage, and kinda jumps from Lara's normal position to her holding it unbalanced... I think the outfit would've been much better off without it, or just with the normal animations. Maybe you could make it so that Jade only uses her special powers to utilize the blasts of the Daï-jo? Ideas are many, but TR is not a very good engine... Overall: 8,5 A very good outfit of Jade, but requires some remapping and testing before it can be considered for a level. I'm looking forward to the next version, I know you're making one! ...right? You should, as it has potential. :)
