Lion Fountain by Piega
Description
Updated static lion fountain with waterfall. I made it a little smaller to a more realistic size in Lara's world. Now you can also place an item on the fountain.

This is very pretty! It will look good in many typical Tomb Raider themed levels. So it's useability is high. We have no fountans that look like this, so originality is high. Quality is good, the textures are perfect on the object, only the water looked odd at some angles. But that's hardly noticable. All textures are good, except that one small thing I mentioned. Meshs are great! But the 'Lion' doesnt look like a Lion. It almost looks like a... hog, or something. But that's not a big deal. ;) Edited by Trinity

I really liked this one, and I would expect no less from Rene. The meshes were perfect, the textures were very good and very realistic (well I never thought the water in Tomb Raider was very realistic, but the stone texture is and the water looks very nice anyways). It's good to see a few objects from the master level builders (Jackie and Rene for example) here on the SE, I hope we get many more from these. This actually looks similar to something In saw in the new Indiana Jones game, but that's got nothing to do with the rating. This can be usable in many different types of environments. This is an object of very high quality, originality, and usability, which we don't get all too often here. A fine peice of Architecture. Very good job, Rene.

10 for originality, first I thought that this fountain was a tr5 rip, but I was wrong. It looks tr5-like, but is a totaly new object. I love new objects;)(rips are nice, too) 10 for quality, because the textures work well together and the mesh is of good quality, too. I mentioned no bugs and the water, wich comes out of the lions mouth works fine. 10 for usability, it fits perfectely to temples, mansions, colosseums and many other places wich are tomb raider like. 10 for textures, they were very good, very realistic and work well together and you won't mention the connections beetween them. The size is ok, too, they are not too big not too small. 9 for mesh, it has no holes, no double faces or other bugs, but I gave you a 9 because the Lionhead looked more like a bear. It would be perfect ( a 10) when you would add more polygons to make it more lion-like, but else this object is very good!:)

It really needs some imagination to call the animal a lion. :) but it is alright, a boar a bear a dog whatever. I'd just call it an animal fountain then :) The statue itself reminds me of AOD due to the colour and the textures, lovely. Adding one breaks the dullness of a wall significantly. can't find mistakes anywhere. the water flow is lovely. superb work as always rene :)

Piega, u scare me! I think I just need to explain the places where I downrated... Useability: Will fit better in European tomb raiding levels... I cant imaging it in a VCI complex... Meshes:... It could look like a lion... The rest, ten for everything! I used that in my level!!!! Edited by Crane

It must have higher marks if it's not called a lion fountain!
