It's nice to have a rat that actually bites! I'm really pleased, since many rats just seem to push Lara around. It is also pretty big, so it could have a lot of surprise value in a dark room…very nice.
The originality is a bit low since it's a TR1 rat, but it is the first that actually can attack with a better damage amount.
The quality of the attack is nice, but the downside to that is that it has to use dog-like animations, and so it doesn't always look quite like a rat…but that's OK since it bites like one!
Rats have been done before, but this one is the most usable, I think, since it attacks. I don't suppose you could find rats any place, but it is useful for both cities and tombs, so I gave it a 10.
The textures and meshes aren't the smoothest, but it is based on TR1. The animations are great for the attack!
What I think Piega did for the level-playing community is done here with Po Yu's fantastic outfit! It really breaks down the barriers of the Level Editor with the details that go into her meshes and outfit. It looks as if it were taken right out of the new game. Outfits like these are what keeps the TRLE going strong even after so many years. What I would say for each individual category has been said above, but I'm really looking forward to seeing this outfit in many levels in the future.
I continue to be impressed with the quality of the objects produced by this particular author. I am using some arches and pillars from a different wad by the same author in my level now, and I may have to add some things from this. While some of the objects are quite simple or can only be used in a setting identical to TRL, most of them are classic Tomb Raider-useable objects and I fully expect to see some in custom levels in the near future. The textuyring on the pillars is especially nice, and the steps are a particularly useful object for Central or South American levels. Thanks for the great objects.
Though several people, including this author I believe, not to mention the original game, have made new Save and Load objects based on the green crystal, this is definitley one of the best versions. Considering that a) the objects are textured nicely and sized correctly in the inventory, and b) the crystals have contrasting colors but are matching in size, this makes this new set of Save and Load crystals both simple and attractive, and useful in, litterally, any level. Thanks for a fresh version!
I am so glad that someone finnaly made this! It is such a classic TR trap, and yet I don't think I have ever seen it on the TRLE. Great job!
Originality: Well, it is from the original TR, but it is the first time it has been made for the TRLE!
Quality: The author has done a great job making this object work just the way it did in the original TR. It does have TR1 textures, and these don't look great except if they are being used in a TR1-themed level.
Usability: This trap is usable in any kind of tomb anywhere in the world, as well as in factories or power plants, or in futuristic levels. I don't suppose a city or sewer level would have this, but I am using it in my level, so I'm going to go ahead and give it a 10.
Again, great job, and thanks!
