As I said before, all the gun animations are missing in this wad, which makes an easy download, but just because it's quick, doesn't mean that everything is there. The hair animation was missing as well which made the outfit look weird cause the outfit I had before this one had a different color hair texture.
Some of the custom textures were nive in the sence that they curved more around the body instead of just using polygons, but the textures lacked detail. The white texture was only a small step up from useing a plain white texture, but in game, there really didn;t look like a whole lot of difference.
The only custom mesh I saw was the gun belt which is fairly easy to create, and I've seen several times before.
I'm genrally not one for bikini outfits and this one supports my statement. There wasn't anything special about this bikini; it was just like the rest of them.
It's nice to see that the author went into some work by creating his/her own textures, but they definatly needed to be worked on. If a slight blur was added to the skin textures it would have given them a softer appearance rather than the harsh tones that I saw.
The only custom mesh that I saw was the headmesh. Only a couple strands of hair hung from the head, which doesn't impress me a whole lot, cuase most of the outfits I've played have that feature... it's almost standard.
All the gun animations are missing in this wad, which makes an easy quite download, but not nessesarily a good one. The hair animation was missing as well which made the outfit look weird cause the outfit I had before this one had a different color hair texture.
I believe that the author could really create a nice bikini outfit, it just takes a lot of time and effort in doing so. I hope that instead of releasing an outfit with minor improvements, that [s]he asks others from the several different LE forums, what improvments could be made. :)
I really liked the textures on this outfit, especially the backpack. The side pockets could have used a little work on them, but other than that, everything looked fine in the texture department. The meshes were fine, except the hand meshes could have been replace with the better hand grip by Larz.
This is not too much different than any of the other AoD shirt and short outfits, other than a different color shirt. Other than the change of color, I don't think there's anything else to offer.
Since the new rating system came, I don't think I've given a perfect score, which is why I had to test this outfit again before doing so. I loved everything about this outfit. A must download for everyone! As is said in the title, this should be the newest tradtional outfit for levels to come.
There are a few things that I have to request to make this outfit even better. The holster on her back looks cool and all, but the shot gun isn't put there. The other thing was her mouth on the firing head. there wern't any teeth showing, only a small dark void remained in its place.
This outfit is almost worth downloading for the single pistol alone! I absolutly love the boots, the design of them is ace! The holster and the pac on her left hip add more greatness to the outfit. One thing that needed a little fixing on was the left hand in the pistol animation. Whenever she draws and holsters her weapon, there's a certain jerkiness about it. Other than that, the main thing that I didn't like about this outfit was the hair. It was too stiff for me.
First thing I said when I saw this outfit was, "Yeah! No flippers."
That's right, no flippers at all. I've played several outfits that have had flippers, and they just don't cut it. For one, her swim animation looks weird with them, and two, they just don't look good. While this outfit isn't as good as my favorite wetsuit, Sola Wetsuit by Larz, it comes close. I still don't like the face of the Lara, it just looks too thin, anerexic style. If the eyes were slightly larger though, I think I could put up with the face on this outfit. The texturing was ok on this outfit, but it needed more detailed. If you're looking for an AoD style wetsuit, download this one, cause this is the best I've seen so far.
I've seen this outfit done so many times, the originality in this and all AoD outfits is dripping to its end. Other than changing the color to the shorts, which I find not so hard to do, adding a black shirt, and changing the color of the lips, this outfit really has nothing to offer more than other AoD outfits. A few strands of hair dangling across the face was really the only different thing that I noticed different about the meshes. The boots on the outfit looked like an exact copy of dark angels, thus making it all the more less original.
"There's one thing I know better than thing else, and that would be my work"
This outfit is almost an exact copy of my TR Movie Siberia outfit.... with no credit at all. The only thing that is changed is the headmesh, more skin instead of my textures and a small redline aroung the waist indicating a thong. The headmesh itself really needs a lot of work. From the back, it looks as though the hair is cut at a slant upward.
Great outfit! I really like the textures on this outfit, and how they were applied. The headmesh with the adjusted skin tone gives it all the more the feel of Trinity. The jacket could have used a little more work, namely the paper thin color. The cape, while it serves its purpose in making it look like Trinity herself, needed to be adjusted. Instead of creating it off the butt mesh, if it were split down the middle and created off the leg meshes, it would have eliminated the problem of stiffness. I don't want this to sound like complaints, cause I think the outfit itself is amazing, but I hope that the author takes these words and creates a reprise.
The first thing that stood out in this outfit for me was the pants texture. The area that's usually not covered is the textures. I myself genrally try finding another way out, by using textures that were created by the core team, instead of trying to create some myself. The jacket and the belt mesh are another great thing about this outfit. I also like the headmesh, but I didn't care for the glasses at the end of the nose thing, which brings me into the negitive things of this outfit. The glasses looked as though they wern't even touching the nose at all. I like the fact that BI tried something new, but it needed a little more work to look properly.
I love the overall design of this outfit. The thing that I liked the most was the boot mesh. One of the first things on my mind when playing with a custom outfit is, "How different is this from the traditional outfit?" Most outfits that I use fail in the area of the boots cause it's always the same thing.... or else if they are different, they just don't stand out that much.
Now for some negitive things. The head and hair were too stiff for me, but I understand that for collision problems it needed to be this way. Lara's face looked a little too weird for me, and I think it was the eyes. They eyes are wonderful, but they seemed to small for the face. Either they need to be enlarged or the face needs to be altered to make it look better.
The pic on this site was eye candy, but it wasn't until I dowloaded the outfit myself that I found its true beauty. Most of the time when a dress outfit is made, the dress looks too stiff, and the legs run in and out of the mesh making it look weird. However, by sacrificing the joints, Blind Intentions created a one leg dress that is absolutly stunning. Another thing that I liked a lot about this outfit was its textures. He didn't take the easy way out by making the dress a plain red as a lot of people have done in the past.
There were only a couple things that I din't like about this outfit; the first being the chest mesh. The chest was too flat and the design of the dress called for a split down the middle, not just a darker tone of skin texture. The other thing that I thought could be improved was the smoothness of the hem of the dress. It seemed a little too blocky and I believe could have handled more polygons. All in all, this outfit is more than perfect for any opera level.
There have been so many AOD outfits released and usually there isn't anything that defined them from the others. This one is different than most, both good and bad. First off is the headmesh. While this one offers something different than most, it needs to be fixed, namly the area of the cheeks and mouth area and the forehead. Other than that, I give Darkangel major props for the head. I opened it in a cad program and saw the level of detail added. The belt mesh was very good, but one thing to point out is that it seemed to thin, but that's just a minor point that doesn't affect the score. I really like the boots, but something need to be changed to keep from being the same ol stuff.
In closing, this is a wonderful outfit that should be used in levels to come, cause it would be a shame if level editors would overlook DA's talent.
